The Challenge

Canada Post is a Crown corporation which functions as the primary postal operator in Canada.

Canada Post was ramping up their events and were referred to icon1 when they had to address the mounting issues of their assets being out-of-date, scattered, unaccounted for, and the time and effort required to locate and manage these assets. These issues in turn created inefficiencies and branding discrepancies.

Canada Post was looking for a software solution that could consolidate and manage all their assets in an easy to use system, ensuring that their reps were using the latest and greatest assets with consistent brand messaging.

The most pressing challenge was developing and deploying the system under a very tight timeline.

Our Approach

Icon1 worked with Canada Post’s event team to demo Event Express and determine which event details and fields they wanted to capture per event, this required customization’s to Event Express and per the requirements provided by Canada Post.

Event Express was modified through mock-ups, and once mock-ups were approved the system was developed. Customization’s included automated notifications generated in the system to be sent to the appropriate individuals to streamline efficiencies.

Icon1 also worked with their shipping department on inventory management, ensuring that all artwork and graphics were up-to-date, promotional giveaways were current and as all inventory was catalogued, all assets were uploaded into the Event Express.

Our Results

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

The deployment of Event Express streamlined and enhanced the way Canada Post was managing their assets. Management now had oversight in tracking and maintaining inventory. Brand messaging was improved and consistent, and with data being captured, reliable information was available.

A rise in ROI was directly connected to assets being consolidated and tracked, resulting in less re-printing and mismanagement of assets. Assets were also getting used more often and returning in better condition.

Canada Post found Event Express to be an intuitive and simple system to use that was customized to fit their unique needs and requirements. Another valuable determining factor involved in selecting Event Express was that it was a system that Canada Post can self-maintain. Allowing them to manage their assets in house.
