Unity is the creator of the world’s most widely used real-time 3D development platform, working alongside partners such as Facebook, Google and Microsoft. Experiences made with Unity reach nearly 3 billion devices worldwide and counting!

After developing a Conference and Sponsorship Portal for Unity, they once again approached icon1 when they were looking to create a custom internal Registration System for their managers.

Unity had very specific requirements and workflows to address a very particular issue, the process, approval and management of internal employees requesting to attend Unity conferences and event.

Our Approach

POWERING EXPERIENCES

The development of the Registration System was a two-step phase. Phase one was developing the Registration site and registration and approval processes.

Phase two was once employees were approved by their managers to attend an event, the Registration System then collected their travel information such as hotel and flight information.

The requests for registering for an event were linked to specific managers who were responsible for which employees and how many of them were attending events. This rule was to curtail the issue of employees showing up to events without registering for them, and to implement oversight.

Our Results

LEVELED UP

The customized internal Registration System icon1 developed for Unity created a new standard within the organization for Unity employees wanting to attend Unity events.

It simplified the employee registration process, created a protocol of checks and balances and streamlined and consolidated the entire process of registering, collecting information, approvals and bookings.

Moving away for managing registration through email to an internal Registration System saved Unity time, money and maintained oversight on registration requests and approvals.
